Mia's Turn

Sweet girl!

Mia loved the icing too!

Diving in!

Mia enjoyed her cupcake too! She wasn't quite sure how to eat this, she soon figured it out!

Decorating....and Tasting!

Delicious!

The finished product!

The best part!
Sharing with Mia!

Pinkalicious

Yummy!

Poor daddy....even the cupcakes are pink!

Aunt Mis and family sent this book. We made pink cupcakes and decorated them with pink icing and trimmings, just like Pinkalicious! Ansley and Mia love this story, thanks for sharing it with us!

Headed Home!

We truly have the best car travelers ever! These girls look out the window, read books, and talk non-stop! Daddy kept trying to play the "quiet game". Ansley finally announced, "I like to talk and you never give me a chance!" We busted out laughing! Next trip, we may invest in ear plugs for the parents!

American Girl!

While in Dallas we visited the American Girl store! We went in and Mia saw all of the Bitty Babies and started yelling, "Sadie" (Ansley's doll's name)! It was impossible to keep their little hands off of all of the displays! Mia may just need one of her own! Ansley loved it too!

Skating!

Scott and Ansley's first time on the ice! They both did really well!

He thinks maybe he'll join Stars on Ice!

Mia looking on, she loved when Ansley passed by! Next time she will get to try too!

Weeee! We weren't planning on skating, but Ansley saw the ice and wanted to try.... so we did! She loved it!

Getting ready for the big debut! Her skates were so little!

Lots of Sugar!

Mia doesn't love sweets! She didn't get my gene in that area! She was a fan of the whipped cream on the cheese cake though!

Ansley got the gene

Yep....I love sugar!

This is the best kind though!

Mia is usually pretty stingy with kisses, however she was playing a game and I benefited from lots of sugar! My sweet girl!

So Excited!

The girls loved looking at all of the sights!

Here they wanted to go to the slides!

Some of the adult slides were partially outside (all enclosed). Scott was very brave and tried the tornado one! He had just as much fun as the girls!

Ready for Fun!

Always taking care of each other!

Mimi was ready to swim!

Ans was the "official elevator button pusher"!

All of the older kids were actively engaged in a treasure hunt. They had electronic wands and book. This was one of the clue boxes. It was a snoring tree, Ansley loved it!

Great Wolf Lodge!

Outside the front lobby!

This was the toddler area. There were water slides for little ones, splash centers and fountains!

I wasn't able to get very many pictures inside the park, because I had two girls ready to dive in the water! I couldn't manage the camera too!

This was the lobby. To the left was a floor to ceiling window that overlooked the water park.

We had so much fun at this place! It was a huge themed hotel with a water park. The girls loved splashing and sliding! Ansley went down the big slides by herself and Mia tackled the toddler area. This is a place we will visit again.

A Few Days Away!

We escaped for a few days! We visited Dallas. It was really fun being in a big city again. The girls loved the hotel room, water park, and all of the the airplanes!

The girls were looking for airplanes! Mia was a pro at spotting them. So much so, that Ansley started telling her they were not airplanes, but helicopters! It was really cute to hear Mia say, "helicopter".

Waking up, ready to plan the day!

Checking out the room. Actually this was the second room, the first one the air conditioner didn't work!

What a Week!

Well, we survived the final week before Spring Break! Mia was home with me for a day and a half, with an ear infection that traveled to her eye! She is feeling 100% now. We are looking forward to enjoying our no-schedule week. We are off to a great start. Today was rainy, the perfect day to sleep in and spend the day together! Here are a few photos to enjoy!

Smooch!

Daddy was getting lots of kisses before bed!
