This Weeks Homework....Aperture

Mia was my subject for my homework this week!  So, after taking and deleting tons of pictures today, I think  aperture might be the hardest thing to control.  For those of you interested, aperture is the depth of field (foreground/background clarity)......Getting the lighting perfect really helps!  This skill may take a while to master....I sure am having fun trying!

A Beautiful Day!

It's January 29th and 74 degrees!

There was no way we were staying inside today!

Yummy

We made a girl trip to the make up store yesterday and Kim treated the girls to new bubble bath and lotion!  This stuff smells exactly like conversation hearts.....now I could really eat my girls up!   Yummy!

Broken Hearted

Ansley is at the age that she "gets"  what it means when family leaves.  She was so sad when Grandpa and Kim left last night after dinner.  There was supposed to be ice/snow in St. Louis, so they made a decision to leave to get ahead of the storm.  We love our families, and don't see y'all nearly enough so it's sad when visits have to end!  Know you all are in our hearts and part of our daily lives!

Ipad and Pedi

The girls were highly entertained with Kim's Ipad.  Ansley finally took a break from "baking and decorating cookies" (the funnest app ever), to get her toenails painted, this gave Mimi a chance to play!

The Annual Photo!

We have taken this same picture for the last 5 years, it is amazing how fast the girls are growing up! Thank you grandpa and Kim for making the trip this weekend!  We love you!  Merry Christmas!

Lovin' G-pa

A few pix of Grandpa lovin' Mia!

Matching

Grandpa and Kim got the girls matching jammies to their babies!  These were some proud mamas!

Christmas With Grandpa and Kim!

We are so happy that Grandpa and Kim were able to make the trip so we could celebrate Christmas!  The girls loved opening presents again.  Livia got a new cousin who Mia named Andie Mae (after a friend in her class)!   We created special memories....we love you!

Play Date!

We made the most of our snow day yesterday and had the Bohannon kids come play!  The girls had so much fun!  I'm not sure there is a better group of kids!   Brooks is growing up so fast, Ella and Ansley played like sisters, and Mia and Miller were best buddies!

Pretending......

she's at the beach!

Shutter Speed

So I am in my 1st week of my second photography class and we are learning about shutter speed.  I have to submit two photos showing fast and slow shutter speed.  Basically, Shutter controls the subjects movement.  So here are my practice shots.  I figured I won't have any better light then daytime outside with snow!  Not to mention the girls LOVED throwing the snow in the air for me!

Pile On......

Looks like only one of them likes this!
