Jack Anderson Elementary

Mia is so excited to start Kindergarten.  I can't help but to think she is still my baby!  I am glad she is ready to go!  Her pose and smile say it all!

Friday morning was Kindergarten registration.  So we packed up and headed to the girls' elementary school.  We were greeted by an incredible group of teachers that instantly calmed this mama's anxiety.   We took a tour of the K-1 hall and it was awesome!   We saw the computer lab and library.  After a day at our new house we headed back to the school so the girls could break in the play ground.  I was surprised but happy to see a merry-go-round and tire swing.   I am praying for a smooth transition to a new school, great teachers and a love for continued learning for Ansley and Mia!

Our New House

The last time I saw our house there were no interior walls.  It is amazing to see how much is completed daily!  The girls were excited to see their new rooms.  Our builder has been so great lining up all of the venders for us to meet to make decisions.   This weekend we picked, stain color, carpet, tile design in Master bath and kitchen backsplash, towel holders, closet design throughout, landscaping, and lighting.   Next time I see it, it will all be in!   We also met our neighbors behind us, they have a little girl the same age as Ansley.

A Weekend Away....

After school Thurs., we boarded a plane for Nashville.  We had to enroll the girls in their new school and made final decisions on our home.   We are home sweet home and ready to tackle another week.

We stayed at the Gaylord Opry.  It was a beautiful hotel, the indoor atriums are amazing.  Here I took a few pictures while we were waiting for our car.

Details....

Today we visited Dr. Cadle for well checks (a necessity for school enrollment).   I am going to miss her.   She has truly carried me through all of my anxiety of being a new mom, to helping me manage toddlers, and preparing us for the next stages of child-development.   She has been a wonderful source of information the past 6 years.   Not only that but she truly "gets" our family....we have laughed and cried together.   So today was kind of the finale with her as our pediatrician....wish she wanted to start a practice in TN!

So here  are the stats of our girls as of today!   4.24.12

Ansley Parker
Age 6.5
Weight: 48lbs (50%)
Height:  46 in  (50%)

No concerns for any developmental factors and she is healthy!

Mia Scott
Age 4.9
Weight:  38.5 lbs (50%)
Height:  42 in (50%)

No concerns with her either, (except she didn't know her address b/c I haven't practiced b/c we are moving!)  I've started teaching her our new address so she is really confused!   So thankful that there are no health concerns!

These girls are gifts from God.  There isn't a day that goes by that I am not thankful for this family I have been given!

So, even though this years well-checks were a little early....we have all of the info. needed to enroll them in school.

I am not sure Ansley could have had a better kindergarten year!  Here she is all smiles with just three weeks left of school.   We will register the girls at their new school on Friday!   It is hard to believe that Mia will be joining her sister.  She is so ready and excited to ride the bus!   I hope that all works out at our new location.

Well.....the process is rolling.   I came home today and there was an official sign in our yard.   Just a few details remain and we will close at the end of May.   As this chapter ends, it is bittersweet.  We have started our family here, made great friends, and have an incredible church family.   I know God has great things waiting for us on the next part of our journey.   I am not going to lie......starting over is hard.  Ansley summed it up by stating, "I wish we already were moved, because I am ready for our family to be together."  So as bittersweet as this move is, it will be good for all of us to be together again!

Sorting

Ansley got my organization gene.  This morning they had dumped all their Valentine and Easter candy and sorted it!   S. took one look and shook his head! :-)

Pure Puppy Love

Ansley was getting some sweet puppy kisses from Cubby before school!

A Great Day to Fly a Kite

We have had near perfect weather warm and the perfect breeze.  The 2nd graders at Tucker had Kite Day, it was so fun to see nearly 100 kites in the air.  However, I will say all the adults worked hard getting them untangled and helping them get off the ground!  With so much fun had at school, I thought the girls should have a Kite Day too.....if you haven't flown a kite lately, I suggest doing it......F-U-N!
