Tuesday Night Girls Night!

Aunt Mis and Uncle Darin gave the girls these tents when they were tiny.  They have gotten many hours of use!  Tonight Ansley and Mia are tucked in tight for their "sleepover" in the media room!  We LOVE summer!!!!

I'm so thankful God picked these girls for each other!   I LOVE that they are bonded by sisterhood.   They spent the entire afternoon playing, singing and dancing together.  I was not allowed in their rooms because my name wasn't on the list!   Love these precious gifts!

First Home Meet!

Great meet today!  This was our first home meet of the season.  Ansley swam the 25 Free and Back.  Mia swarm the 25 Free, Back and Relay.  She also swam a 50 IM!   So proud of these girls!  GO FLIPPERS!!!!

Happy Father's Day 2014

Sweet Mia LOVES her daddy!

So thankful for this amazing man that our girls get to share this life with!  Happy Father's Day to one of the BEST!!!!

The JOY of giving!  The girls made books for their daddy about the favorite things he does with them.  They were so excited to give them to him!  A very proud moment…it is all over their sweet faces!

Relaxing on this wonderful Father's Day!

A few Days in South Carolina

My favorite author, Dorothea Benton Frank, was in Aiken for  a talk and books signing.  I was so excited to get a chance to meet her.  She writes about Sullivan's Island and Coastal Carolina, with such Southern Flare.   It was fun meeting her however, she is way more New Jersey then South Carolinian.  Still a great author with a great sense of humor.   I was a little disappointed that she wasn't  Sweet Tea "sweet".   A great memory made none the less!

We had fun at Ms. Debbie's pool on Friday!  It was great to get back to Aiken, even for just a few days!  Thanks mama for a great couple of days!  We love you!!!!

Go Flippers!!! 2014

The Sharpless's first swim meet!   We had a great day!  The meet was called because of weather, but I can't wait to see official times!

Mia, Ansley and Riley

This year there are about 100 swimmers!   So glad to be part of it!

Ansley trying to figure it out!

Warmed up and ready!

Practice dive for the relay

Mia getting her backstroke on!

So proud of Ansley's first ever meet.  She swam the  25m freestyle and backstroke.  She got second in her heat for free and 1st in back, but turned at the end to touch, so I think maybe she was disqualified.  She also nailed the 25m free relay and was chosen for the medley, but didn't race b/c of the weather!   Excited for next week at home!

Mia did a great job too!   She swam the 25 m freestyle and backstroke.  She was 1st in her heat for freestyle and won the backstroke but turned at the end to touch the wall.   She also did a great job on her leg of the relay!   I think we have little competitors!
