November 2023

This is a hard post to write.  Yesterday, 11/29 the patriarch of the Sharpless Family went home to the Lord.  He fought a long fight.  I'm so thankful we were able to spend Thanksgiving Week with him at the hospital.  He leaves behind a loving family and a lifetime of memories.  We don't know how to navigate this side of heaven without him.  I know that there isn't a bigger Bama fan that is cheering for us on earth.

Our month in pictures.

October 2023

Well this month was a doozie!  We packed it ALL in!!!  Our first born became an official adult (she will always be my baby). Ansley turning 18 seems. unreal!  She is ready to tackle the world, and my prayer form her first breath was and continues to be for God to pave her way and protect her. I celebrated my friend kicking cancer's tail.  The weather dropped to the high 20's for about four days before rebounding into the 80's again.  Those cold temps can stay far away!   Mia was inducted into National Honor Society.  We are so proud of her continued hard work at school.   My great nephew Oakley Abel was born. I am so happy for Reed and Sarah, they will kill parenting!  My sister is OVER the moon!  The big news is the girls visited Auburn!  And.......Ansley has decided she will study nursing at Auburn University in the fall.  Our little brainwashed Bama girl is headed to Auburn.  As hard of a time her daddy will give her, we fully support her decision and it really is a perfect fit for her.   She will be joining friends she has met at JH Ranch and her cousins Lily Grace.   I know there is comfort knowing she isn't going "alone".   Mia also loved it there, so we will see what she decides next year!  Mia had nasal surgery and can now breathe from her nose.  That has been a long time coming.   BHS football season is in full swing.  AP loves being a golden girl and all that has to offer.  We ended the month with a freezing Halloween.   Two days later we were back in the upper 70's.   I am NOT ready for cold temps to stick around.  I will take  every warm day we can get.  Millie and Sugar looked darling in their dresses!  We continue to enjoy every event and memory made!
