The month of December began with the girls and I headed to the beach to meet up with Scott for PawPaw's funeral. It was so good to be together again. The service honored a man that loved his family and built a legacy of love. He will be missed and I am prayerful that our tears will be replaced with a smile when we think of him and all of the memories we shared. I am so thankful for our friends and family that have reached out to help us heal. Then we finished our 1st semester of the 23-24 school year. This was a feat in itself. It was a good 1st semester, but time is flying and I missed so much of November with 2 eye surgeries, my shoulder surgery and Thanksgiving Break that I was not prepared to wrap up the semester. I know all the work will be there when I return in January. Grammy, and Rita's family came for Christmas. We celebrated the birth of our Lord, and am so thankful for the truth of the season. It is always magical doing all of our traditions, baking, wrapping and just spending time together. Christmas decor came down and we finished the month with a trip to Silver Dollar City to see all the lights. It was a FREEZING day/night, but fun was had. We enjoyed our girls day with the Hannon's.
