Night Night!

Ansley has finally agreed to sleep with her sister!  She likes her sleep and always claimed that Mia talked.  Mia couldn't be happier!  Yes....they love sleeping in their sleeping bags!

It started snowing right at bedtime!  Mia was checking out the back yard!  We are supposed to get a dusting tonight and possibly 4 inches by Tuesday!  I LOVE summer so snow days are not very appealing to me!

Birthday Party Fun!

Mia's friend, Isabella, had her birthday party at JumpZone!  Fun was had by all!

Learning to Read!

Ansley is READING!!!  We are so proud of our girl.  Aunt Rita and family got her some Dick and Jane books for Christmas and today she pulled one out and started reading!   She feels so big!   It is so much fun being a part of learning!  When she was getting ready for bed she said, "Mommy you are a really good teacher!"  Sweet girl!!!!

Making Pizza

I think she was just thinking about what toppings to use, but doesn't she look sad!  Poor thing!

Saturday Morning Games!

Ansley was trying to help her sister by making her taller!  She wanted her to catch some butterflies too!

Meeting Addisyn Grace

I love technology....the girls were looking at pictures of  my family's newest member.   We are thrilled beyond words.  My cousins, whom are also dear friends, welcomed their baby girl to the world this morning.  There are a couple of little girls in Arkansas that can't wait to hold that sweet baby!  Ansley said, "Oh I wish she was ours!"  To which Mia replied, "Yeah, isn't she soooo cute!"  We love you guys!  Sending kisses and love!

Tea Party After School

High Tea......The girls got all dressed up and set their table for a tea party after school today.  I love that they enjoy being fancy almost as much as they love playing outside!  Ansley sat at the table and said, "Mommy what do ladies talk about at tea parties?"  Good question.....

Yay.....It's Friday!

Well......we made it through our first week back after a few weeks off!  It felt good to get back to a schedule and to work!  The girls adjusted pretty well, except for a little behavior glitch mid-week.  We ended strong with Mia's class celebrating today with "Snow Boot Day"!  I could never be a preschool teacher.  Can you imagine 20 kids in snow boots ALL day???  We are so thankful for the patience and fun spirits their teachers have.  Our girls LOVE school.  Sorry I haven't blogged more often, next week I'll try to do better!  Happy Weekend!

Happy Birthday To You.....

Wishing my husband a happy birthday and a year full of all the happiness he deserves!  We love you!!!!

Birthday Cake Baking!

So this year's birthday week included cake baking for daddy and a surprise party to wake him up!   Poor guy was so sugar loaded before his feet hit the ground!  The girls LOVED baking him cakes in their new oven.  Mia said, "Daddy I put a lot of love in your cake!"  What a great way to start the day!

2011

A lazy New Year's morning!  We had fun just hanging out and waiting for the game to start!  We have enjoyed all of the off schedule time, but I am looking forward to getting back to work tomorrow!  I need a little discipline  in my life!

Happy New Year!

We ended 2010 with reflection and started 2011 with a renewed spirit!   It has been a great year, we are so thankful for the many blessings God has given our family.  I am not a huge goal setter, nor am I very big on new year resolutions.  This year however, I am dedicated to being available and present.  I will stop folding laundry or cleaning up to play with the girls, I will be in the moment, whatever that moment is.  This will be a challenge for me as I am ALWAYS planning ahead, and very Type A (pretty much a control freak)!  I will grow closer to God and let His presence be seen in me.  These are pretty big goals, expecially for someone that isn't huge on year-long lofty goals.   However, as I reflected on 2010, I realized that my best moments were when I wasn't in control at all, when I gave it all to God!  I hope you all had a great New Year's Day!  I did order one last birthday week gift for Scott......a bowl win for Bama!  Roll Tide! This year is off to a great start! Happy New Year......looking forward to 2011.
