Play Date!

We made the most of our snow day yesterday and had the Bohannon kids come play!  The girls had so much fun!  I'm not sure there is a better group of kids!   Brooks is growing up so fast, Ella and Ansley played like sisters, and Mia and Miller were best buddies!

Pretending......

she's at the beach!

Shutter Speed

So I am in my 1st week of my second photography class and we are learning about shutter speed.  I have to submit two photos showing fast and slow shutter speed.  Basically, Shutter controls the subjects movement.  So here are my practice shots.  I figured I won't have any better light then daytime outside with snow!  Not to mention the girls LOVED throwing the snow in the air for me!

Pile On......

Looks like only one of them likes this!

Ansley Parker

Mia Scott

Snow Day Number 2!

The girls LOVE snow days!  Here they are all ready to go out and play!  We had big dreams of making a snowman but this stuff is powder!

Tiny Dancers!

I am pretty sure, we have not had a day where the girls don't break out in song, dance or BOTH!  Here they were practicing ballet!

Valentines!

The girls spent the morning writing out their Valentine's for all of their school friends!

Perfect Fit!

Mia was watching Cinderella and immediately ran to get her princess slipper.  She was just making sure it still fit!  Bless her heart!

Today I Will Make a Difference

Today I will make a difference.  I will begin by controlling my thoughts.  A person is the product of his thoughts.  I want to be happy and hopeful.  Therefore, I will have thoughts that are happy and hopeful.  I refuse to be victimized by my circumstances.  I will not let petty inconveniences such as stoplights, long lines and traffic jams be my masters.  I will avoid negativism and gossip.  Optimism will be my companion, and victory will be my hallmark.  Today I will make a difference.

I will be grateful for the twenty-four hours that are before me.  Time is a precious commodity.  I refuse to allow what little time I have to be contaminated by self-pity, anxiety or boredom.  I will face this day with the joy of a child and the courage of a giant.  I will drink each minute as though it is my last.  When tomorrow comes, today will be gone forever.  While it is here, I will use it for loving and giving.  Today I will make a difference.

I will not let past failures haunt me.  Even though my life is scarred with mistakes, I refuse to rummage through my trash heap of failures.  I will admit them.  I will correct them.  I will press on.  Victoriously.   No failure is fatal.  It's OK to stumble;  I will get up.  It's OK to fail; I will rise again.  Today I will make a difference.

I will spend time with those I love.  My spouse, my children, my family.  A man can own the world but be poor for the lack of love.  A man can own nothing and yet be wealthy in relationships.  Today I will spend at least five minutes with the significant people in my world.   Five quality minutes of talking or hugging or thanking or listening.  Five undiluted minutes with my mate, children, and friends.  Today I will make a difference.

One Week Later!

So this week has been so busy!  It seems that there is very little time to get pictures posted!  So here is our week in review!  Enjoy your weekend.  We have had a heat wave and warmed up to 44 degrees!

Lil' Teacher

Ansley was pretending that she was a teacher going to lunch.  She had me dump my drink so she could fill it with water so she walk around.

Sleepy!

It has been awhile since I have captured our sleepy girls!  They are growing up!

Jumping Monkey!

Snow Day!

The girls enjoying breakfast at home on Tuesday!  We had about an inch of snow and some ice so it marked our first, and hopefully our only snow day of the year.

Sweeties!

Letting me snap a few pictures after school one day this week!

S-T-R-E-T-C-H

We live in a circus so S. decided to train to keep up! :-)   Actually, this is the recommended treatment for his disc issues.  Amazingly, in a few short days he is feeling much better!
