Disney World....Day 1

Riding Prince Charming's horse.  We headed straight for Fantasy Land, to ride all the classics, Dumbo, It's a Small World, Peter Pan's Flight.

This is what I saw when I woke up!  These girls love each other to pieces!

Daddy and Ans ready to tackle Disney!

How cool was this?  On our drive to the park we saw a sky filled with hot air balloons.....and the Magic begins!

Entering the world of magic!

Flying the Friendly Skies!

How fun that the girls got to play in a castle at the airport while we were waiting to bored our plane!

Initially, I wasn't sure what was more exciting for them the destination of Disney or the plane ride!  Great traveling girls!

We Made It!

We made it through the week!  I wasn't sure it was going to happen.  We are so excited for a week off of school!  I think our entire family needs a break!  I will post again next week!  Happy Spring Break!

Lucky Girls!

The girls wore their shamrock shirts today, because yesterday was p.j. day at school.  This caused a little confusion.  Ansley pinched a friend when she didn't have green on today!  Oops!  I guess I need to do a little teaching about St. Patrick's Day!

Show and Tell

Mia had show and tell today, the letter was "E".  So I asked her this morning what she wanted to take, she bolted for her letters and found the letter E.  What a funny girl.  Don't you love that it is spring and the Christmas PJ's are still a favorite!

Spring Soccer

Soccer started tonight.  I had exactly 40 minutes to get from swim to the soccer field.  I am so glad that is the ONLY time that will happen.  Anlsey loved seeing all her teammates!  What a great group of girls!  Looking forward to the next 8 weeks!

Park Play!

Before swim today we had about 30 minutes to enjoy the beautiful day outside.  The girls loved the park, and have been asking to play at this one all Winter.  There was this entire area of sensory play, the girls loved it!

PJ Day

Today the girls classrooms celebrated St. Patrick's day with PJ day.  The only pajamas they had with green in them were these!  They had fun when the leprechaun turned their milk green, left foot prints, made a trail of glitter and a mess in their classrooms!  What fun magic.  Mia's class had green cupcakes and Ans had Lucky Charms!

Our Day at Home!

We spent the day at home yesterday.  Mia was up the night before with an earache, so we rested and recovered.  They girls had fun  building a fort!  I hope our girl feels better soon!

Is it Friday yet?

Wow!  What a week....and it's only Tuesday!   We are making up professional development for snow days so I have to work late every Monday.  This makes our week get off to a hectic start.  Today Mia ran a low grade temp all day at school.  I called Dr. Cadle at 8:05 and they were booked for the day. I knew that couldn't be a good sign of healthy kids! I asked to be put on a wait list and got a call for a 4:45 appointment. Whew!   Mia has a sore throat and earache!  Turns out she has an ear infection.  Started antibiotics tonight, so I'm praying that she feels better tomorrow!  It was one of those days that I needed to be at work and was so on edge, knowing I was going to get "the call".  Her teacher was awesome, she assured me Mia was playing, eating and getting lots of extra love.  I got text updates with her temp, throughout the day.....I am so thankful for great teachers!   After the Dr. I went to Wal-Mart to get her prescription and 1 hour and 1/2 later we walked out.  Mia was screaming and I was almost in tears.  I am pleased to report both girls are bathed and snoozing as I type this!  Poor things, it's going to be an early morning for them tomorrow!  I am READY for FRIDAY!!!!

Rainforest Showcase

This month the girls have been learning all about the Rainforest!  Today they got to showcase all they know!  What a fun event!

Mia's Class Performance

Mia has been practicing her 3 songs every day for about 2 weeks!  She is quite the performer!  She belted the words and did all the dance moves!  I am so proud of her!  Her class has learned the 4 layers of the rain forest and has completed lots of art work with animals that live there!  What a cute display with a great bunch of kids!

Ansley's Activities

Ansley loves her teacher, Miss Katie!
The 4-5 year old room, was filled with lots of projects about the rain forest.  The children have learned lots of facts about each animal.  Ansley proudly showed me all of her work and gave me a fact about each one.  She is quite a little presenter!  What great practice for these kids! Oh, and they made and enjoyed banana boats!

Pictures of Play at School

I had my camera at the girls' school today so I snapped a few shots of them playing outside.  I love the tree house structure they get to play in, they love it too.  Mia gathered two of her friends and said, "Let's smile so my mom can take our picture."  Both Ansley and Mimi love school, teachers, and friends!

Magic in the Air!

The girls got all dressed up in their princess dresses, to go to dinner last night.  We surprised them with the announcement that we will soon take a plane ride to Disney World!  I'm not sure I've ever seen two little girls more happy!  They both woke up this morning and asked if today was the day!  Looking forward to magical memories with these little girls!
