It's the little things….

Rudy pulling Mia in he sleigh!

This picture is precious to me.  Mia tied up Rudy by our bed and crawled in and fell asleep.  This girl is such a gift  to us.  She has such a kind heart and a fun imagination.  Love her!

While Ansley was a a friend's sleepover Mia found a treasure at Kroger.   Who knew a balloon could quickly become a friend!  It is so much fun to watch her "baby" her new pet….Rudy!  Such JOY!

Quickly becoming a FAVORITE

The Jesse Advent Tree is quickly becoming a favorite in our house.  We love reading the Bible verse and talking about how God's purpose is in everything.  It's also fun to hang the ornament on the tree!

Pont of View

I was standing in my kitchen and was just filled with an overwhelming sense of humbleness. I am so blessed to have a home that is filled with love!

Christmas Traditions

Christmas "Christy" Crimson is back from the North Pole!   The girls were thrilled to find him after school and he even brought a movie!  W-O-W….Let the Christmas magic appear!

Jesse Advent Tree
This year we are starting a new tradition.  We are going through the Bible leading up to Jesus' birth.  So for the next 25 days we will read a story from the Bible and hang an ornament on the tree that represents that story.  Today was Gen.1:1  "God created heaven and Earth."   The ornament was a globe.   We are looking forward to continuing this each year.  What a great way to celebrate all that God has promised.

These come out every Christmas season.  Aunt 9 and Uncle Matt sent these to the girls when they were babies.   They always love eating from them!

Aunt Lydia sends the girls a Chocolate advent calendar each year!  This is a favorite.   They love counting down until Christmas.

As I have reflected on our family traditions this year, we have many.   I love sharing the Joy of the Season, and pray that our girls are filled with the fun and magic, but also their hearts are always grounded in Jesus' birth.   So the above traditions are part of what we do and here is a list of others:

Christmas trees in each of their rooms.
Nanny, Grandpa and Kim all give ornaments each year to hang on their trees.  The girls LOVE going through each one and talking about their memories.

Thanksgiving 2014

The Sharpless family gathered in Orange Beach, AL for Thanksgiving this year.   We enjoyed catching up, putting our toes in the sand, and eating tons of turkey and all of the fixings!   Blessed!

Weekend at the Wilderness

So much fun getting together with the Corya Crew for a mid year treat!  The kids LOVED playing together and making memories!  I am so thankful that Nina and I were able to get together with the kids.  She and I never miss a beat and our kids pick up right where they left off!
5 Girls and 1 sweet little boy (someday he'll love that)!

And they're off!

Ready to hit the indoor Adventure Park

Although eyes closed were not intended….I think this may have been my strategy so I didn't look down!

Both girls are big fans of climbing high and balancing on narrow surfaces!
