"l,m,n, o"

This may be the funniest conversation yet! I asked, "Do you want ice-cream for dessert?" Mia replied, "I want a church one." I said, "What do you mean?" Ansley answered, "She wants an ice-cream sundae." Scott and I nearly fell over laughing. It is a good thing Ans was there to tell us, because I couldn't for the life of me think of any ice-cream treat they had at church! Mia finished making our sides hurt by stating, "I LOVE l,m,n,o on my ice-cream." She was talking about M&M's.

Daddy's Home

These girls are so happy when daddy comes home. Tonight he really made them giggle, we packed up and went sledding! We have about 5" of snow on the ground, it is expected to stop at 2 a.m. Maybe we'll go again tomorrow!

Wow did we have fun! This was the perfect slope! Thanks again Scott and Janell for the sleds! You have made our day!

Hot Cocoa

The perfect way to warm up after playing in the snow!

Sledding!

The girls were so excited to try out their new sleds. We went out to our slanted driveway. We played for awhile and decided to wait for daddy to come home so we could find a big hill!

Ready to warm up before round two!

The Reason.....

we are home today! What you can't see, is under this snow is ice. It has been snowing all morning. We are hoping to get to try out our new sleds after naps! We are making the most of our day at home!

Favorites!

I'm not sure if you can see the T.V. but she was watching the SEC gymnastic meet. She has big dreams! We got to see Grace Taylor perform on the beam, she used to go to Aiken Gym where Lexi takes gym.
Look at that finish! She started at the front door, ran, and then finished! Love it!

This is Ansley's favorite outfit. The leggings are a little snug and the shirt is too small. So the rule is that she can wear it on "stay at home days". We were watching the Alabama/Georgia Gym meet on T.V. She ran to her room, changed into this outfit and began "performing". This girl LOVES gymnastics!

Valentines

Then the girls worked on their Valentine cards for their school friends! They LOVED stamping and writing! Ansley has 28 kids in her class and Mia has 21, so you can imagine this project lasted most of the morning!

Drawing

The first activity of choice on our stay at home day was drawing! These girls LOVE to draw!

My Denial.....Now Reality!

The girls and I will be home again tomorrow! I have been in denial all week about this winter storm that began about 4:00 this afternoon. I am currently listening to ice hit the window, the snow is expected to fall early Friday in the morning! Honestly, we are going to be in school until mid-June. No need to set the alarms in the morning......Rogers just canceled!

Swim School

Sweet Mia is her sisters biggest fan. She spends Tuesday and Thursday evenings watching her sister in swim school. Tonight I let her play a little in the water. The program begins at age 4, I don't think she will be able to wait that long. I talked with the coach tonight about enrolling her when she is 3!

Ansley waiting to swim!

The camera lens was foggy, it is like a sauna in the pool area.

Ansley and her newest friend Payson. She LOVES him. They go to school together and loves that she sees him at swim too!

Awake and Ready!

Mia adding the final touch for school!

Ansley was wondering if she could wear the "pink".

I'm not too sure what she was doing, but it was the only photo I snapped of her with her eyes open!

Snuggled Up

This little look of Mia just defines her. She is always ready for the next adventure!

She has rediscovered her Christmas jammies. She wears them every chance she can!

So after 30 minutes of Ansley sound asleep with her light on and me trying to wake her up, her sissy decided to join her in bed! That finally made her stir to wake up!

Ready for School!

Ans isn't such a morning person. She tends to be very serious and quiet first thing in the morning. I know my family is thinking, "That apple didn't fall far from the tree". Love y'all!

The girls getting their vitamins!
A few pictures of Mia Scott this morning. She was in a happy mood and smiling. She wakes up happy every morning (kinda like her daddy)!

You Can't Teach This!

The first person Mia wanted to see this morning was her sister. Ansley loves taking care of her. Then at some point while we were getting dressed, Ansley was feeling sad so Mia took care of her. She said, "It's okay Ans, I love you"! My heart filled with joy. I am so thankful God created these girls as sisters.

Delish!

This picture says it all! The perfect way to spend a rainy Saturday!

Pure....

Ever since S. returned from L.A. and talked about this cupcake place, I have been dreaming about it. Birthday cake and cupcakes are my favorite! So the other night on our local news they were showing us this cupcake boutique in Fayetteville. So today my sweet husband took us there (he may just be trying to postpone a trip to Dallas for a Sprinkles cupcake)!

As you can see, I am not at all happy to be surrounded by frosting and cake!

The girls take after their Mommy, we love cake, Mia mostly loves the frosting (you could buy a shot of frosting for $.50!

They have a menu of flavors, the problem is they only bake certain cakes per day. I went with the funfetti one! On Tuesday they have a banana pudding cupcake.....I might have to make the drive for that one!
Helping Mia get ready for her first bite!
