Look Who's Legal!

Ansley took her written test this morning and is a legal driver, she has her permit!  Now she gets to practice.  She will go to driivng school in May (equivilent to driver's education). Get more practice and will obtain her license when she is ready (within a year).  It is hard to believe we are entering this next phase with our girl.

Day 1: Alternate Method of Instruction

There are SO many things to be thankful for!  Two of them are in the above photos.  They have worked hard all day on their school work.  Now they are having PE.  I have sent them outside to excercise!  It was a busy day with lots of "new beginnings" but overall, I think we nailed it!  I'm sure going to miss my kiddos at school, but know they will continue to learn.

Trying Something New

I am going to teach children in China how to speak English!   I have rearranged my work area to the "playroom" and spent 11 dollars on the backdrop.  It has been quite the process going through the interview steps.  I am offiical.  I will open up some time slots to teach some kiddos!  I ALWAYS love a new challenge.  This one happened to come at a good time.  I was going to wait until summer, but I'll start a few classes now and see how it goes!

Mia Baking

We are always happy when Mia wants to bake!  Carrot cupcakes with cream cheese frosting!  Love our girl!

And Just Like that I'm 50!

What a surprise!  Scott made arrangements to get  everyone to Big Cedar to surprise me for my 50th.  I am so thankful for a family that wants to take time out of their lives to celebrate me!  It was a perfect weekend.  To top it off we were assigned the George Bush cabin.  This is where he stays when he visits!

The clebration continued on until the next weekend my "real birthday".   Everyone knows I love "Birthday WEEK".  I am so thankful for all of the birthday love.  If anyone ever needs to love their birthday they need to come to an elementary school.   I was showered with 50 balloons in my classroom, my door decorated and so many hugs!

Nathional Histroy Day Project

Ansley and Saloni worked so hard on their NHD presentation.  Early mornings, late nights and non-stop at school.  They were selected to move on to regionals.  This took place at a local junior college.  They were not selected to move on to state.  The lesson here is you do you best and aren't chosen for everything.  And......what did you learn?  I think they covered both of these life questions and came out winners!

Broom magic!

The girls had a fun time making magic with the broom.  Gotta love the FB challenges!

Valentine's Day Love

Mia ready for Gal-entines with her Cell group!

Scott had the opportunity to go to the Daytona 500, but he didn't forget about showering us with flowers!  We are loved well!
