Ansley's 8th Birthday Party

Party Favors

Wearing her camp shirt!

Bracelet and Necklace making craft!

Waiting for ice cream sundaes and cake!  Make a Wish!

Ansley chose a Camp Out slumber party for her 8th birthday.  It was such a blessing to have these sweet girls celebrate with her.   Lots of fun was had by all!  I even had the pleasure of sleeping in the tent last night.   S. made his famous pancakes for breakfast and then we enjoyed s'mores for breakfast dessert!

I am so very thankful that God has given us our sweet, serious girl that made us parents!  We have been on a learning journey for the past 8 years....and we continue to grow to love her more than words can describe.  She is a gift to those who know her.   She is full of kindness and a brain that NEVER takes a break!   We are so very proud of the little girl she is becoming.

We had to celebrate her birthday a weekend early....next weekend is Fall Break and everyone is traveling!  So it looks like birthday week has started a little early this year!

We LOVE you Ansley Parker....thank you for being our amazing girl!

SPIRIT Day!

Showing of our Jaguar pride!

Sign Language Club

Mia has loved being part of the Sign Language Club at school.  They had their first performance on Thursday evening.   They "sang"  The National Anthem!   What a great group of kids!

JAE Thinkers.....

It's hard to believe we have been in school 7 weeks already.   I brought my camera to see the progress so far.  Ansley has completed a research paper on spiders.

Here the girls are in the STEM lab.  This is an incredible space for lots of collaborative thinking and projects.  Mia's class was learning about gravity.  Each group packed a pumpkin and dropped it.  There were quite a few engineers in the group.

Ansley's grade created a house for the "4th Little Pig".   There was lots of planning, building and thought in their creations.   Some may just be architects when they grow up!

Mia showing off her work!  She LOVES 1st grade!

Cousin Weekend

Last weekend we headed to Rita and JT's.  The kids had so much fun playing, swimming, and catching up.   We enjoyed our weekend!

I know I said I would be better posting pictures after my computer was repaired.  Honestly, I am not sure how it has been 2 weeks already!   I am feeling a little overwhelmed this school year and am ready to hit my stride.    I think I'm getting closer.

A couple of weeks ago we traveled to Minonk to celebrate my class reunion!  It was so fun to see people I haven't seen in 20+ years.   I walked the halls of my high school and the memories flooded me and it smelled the EXACT same.   One of my 47 graduating classmates said it best...."No matter where we are in our lives now, the 12 years we spent as a class helped define who we became."   It was a whirlwind weekend.  I loved seeing family...there is never enough time to connect with everyone!

Oh....and I forgot my camera!   Mis let me borrow hers, so we transferred pictures but I haven't found the flash drive yet.  So I will post pictures when I find it.

8th Tooth......GONE!

I LOVE jack-0-lantern smiles..... Mia has lost another tooth!  The Tooth Fairy has been very busy!

Treasure....

This is my latest "craft".....this window is an original from my Grandma Sullivan's farm house.  I love it!

First Friend Sleepover

Mia had her 1st sleepover last weekend!   It looks like the party continued until the late evening hours.   Needless to say after shortly returning home she took a 3 hour nap!   I'm very proud of her for staying at a friend's house.....she was covered in prayer!  I'm thankful for great little friends!

1980's.....ARE BACK

I can't quite grasp the 80's return in fashion.  It was the worst decade ever for hair and style.  Yet....here we are back in the 80's.   Now the music could make a full come back and I'd be all in!   I love my little fashionista...even in her 80's attire!

Breakfast Buddies

I'd love to post that we are in our school groove.....it hasn't happened yet!   We are up and ready and usually rushing out the door only to arrive to school to rush around more!   We are all ready to get into a working routine!   Anyway here are our little girls enjoying some breakfast together!
