Monday Monday

A light has clicked in Miss Mia's little brain.  She loves reading....she had a reading folder from school and then decided she would read from a book...and she did!   I am so proud of her.  I love learning and it is so fun to watch it right before my eyes!

Well, today at school was Green Eggs and Ham day.  The kids wore p.j., slippers, robes, etc... and had "breakfast".  Mia has been looking forward to this all month.   She carefully selected her jammies last night and was so happy to wear them to school.   After school I asked her how it was to which she replied, "If you like white eggs you would like green ones, and if you like regular ham, you would like green ham."  :-)  I asked what the kids thought of her pj's, and she said, "They said Buzz is for boys, but I don't care because I love Buzz."   I love that she has the confidence to love what she loves no matter what her peers think!   She did look mighty cute strutting in to school this morning with her pink coat and backpack in her Buzz p.j.'s.

Dino Day!

Mia was ready to tackle the day!   She was so excited to take her dinosaur to school.  They have been learning all about these prehistoric animals, and they all got to bring one to discuss the characteristics.   This girl has lots of interests!

First Ribbons

Ansley is the proud owner of Gymnastic ribbons!  I'm not sure she could be happier!

All In

Mia was thinking ahead last night and got her doll Mia, ready for school.  Ansley opted for a robe and slippers and dressed hers this morning.

Kianna sent the girls ALL of her American Girl stuff!  She has quite a collection, that  Ansley and Mia think is fabulous.   They now have a full bathroom set up  tub, with bubbles, vanity, a styling chair and organizer for hair stuff, a beach scene with palm tree and chair.... and the list goes on.   Here the girls were dressed like their dolls.  Mia in her swim suit and Ans in her gym leo.   There are hardly words to express how thankful I am for sweet Kianna with her very giving heart to share with her little cousins.  Our girls have quite a role model to look up to!  We love you Ki.  I will take some pictures of the set up and post soon!

To refer to the post title, I don't think there is any going back once you take the American Girl plunge.   I am sure there will be many years of memories made with these dolls!

Presents from Great Aunt Margie!

My Aunt Margie has an incredible gift of sewing.  Well, this year she picked the perfect project for these two.....American Girl Clothes!   Ansley put an "outfit from Aunt Margie" on Julie tonight and declared, "Mom isn't Aunt Margie awesome!"  Yep, I think she is pretty awesome too!   We love you, thanks for the smiles!

Merry Merry Christmas!

So every year after the hustle and bustle of the  Christmas season, we celebrate with my dad and Kim.   This year they visited in November so we decided to meet them in St. Louis to have our annual Christmas.   We stayed downtown in a fabulous hotel, and had a great time catching up and spending a few days together.   The girls are thrilled with their American Girl gifts.  They have played non-stop since we have unpacked.   Thank you for a great weekend.  We love you!

St. Louis Fun!

We had lots of fun for our weekend get away.  We went up the Arch and the girls had a ball in the pool!
