Sweet friends.  Ans and Mol are 5 days apart in age and immediately became best buddies. Everywhere they walked together they held hands!

We are so blessed to have such great friends.   Matt and Nina have shared every part of our lives with us.  Initially we were together in Atlanta, and then through distance when we moved to NWA.   Never have we disconnected through our life changes and growing families.   It was so good to catch up and spend time with them at their lake place this weekend.  Just a short 3 hour drive for us......I see many memories being made here!   We love you guys!

Wildlife

Every morning and evening we have deer and wild turkeys that live in the woods around our house.   We love that they have made their homes near us so we can be entertained.   I'm not so sure how this will work out if we plant a garden next year, but for now we'll enjoy it!

We're not in Arkansas anymore!

About a week ago, we were getting ready to go to bed and a storm blew in.   It was heavy rain, lightning, and straight line winds.   Our play set blew over and all of our outdoor furniture blew off the back porch into the empty lot next door.   I thought we had bad weather in NWA......maybe not so much!

Sleepy Head

Mimi was so excited for her first day of school.  She was trying to wake up and said, "Mama my eyes won't open."   Bless her heart!    I am so thankful God gave us this little girl!   I am so excited for all that awaits for her in Kindergarten!   Look out Mrs. Williams, there will never be another Mimi that touches your teaching career like this one!

Finally.....First day of 1st Grade

After our delay opening we had our first day today!   Ansley was SO excited and I am so glad to report she LOVED it!   She has 16 students in her class, and a great teacher.  We are looking forward to a fantastic year.  

1st Day of school treat!   A book, clipboard, notepad, and pencils were at the breakfast table today!

We really should have practiced getting up for school.   Our extended summer vacay was apparent this a.m.  

Even though Mia doesn't start school until Tues. she was awake (kind of)  for the big day!  I think we must make sure we have a restful weekend!  

Sweet girls finding their treasure.   I pray for these girls daily!   Today I especially prayed for God to take care of all the "new unknowns".   I am so thankful that He answers prayers!   I am also thankful that tomorrow is Friday!   We are tired!

Our last day of Summer was officially today.  The girls and I watched Mary Poppins, and of course they needed to dress in character.   Here is Miss Mia as Mary Poppins and her magic umbrella.   Oh how I am going to miss my days with my girls!   There is NEVER a dull moment.   I am so excited that their teachers will get to smile at all of their creativity!
