So Thankful!

Of course we celebrated with a cake!  I love Publix cake!

After church we headed to the tall grass in our neighborhood for some pictures!  I am so thankful that God has blessed me with an amazing husband and these two little girls.   He truly knew my heart's desire when he made our family.   As crazy as it is at times, I wouldn't change a thing.....I am thankful for a Loving God that helps me live a prioritized life.  I'm also thankful for my mom, who is a living example of God's love for his children, and for Scott's mom as we grow in our journey of motherhood, we share a common bond...a love for our children.   I am so thankful for the son she has raised!   I am very blessed!

Mother's Day Morning!

This was a great way to start our Sunday.  I was SHOWERED with homemade gifts and cards.   Each of them made a book about "Why I am so special" .  The funniest part was in Ansley's it said, "My mom weighs......"  Her original answer was erased but was 299!!!  Then her second guess was 130!   I laughed so hard!  She said, "Mrs. Ballard said that ladies are kind of weird about their weight, why don't you choose a smaller number."  I LOVE that girl!  Mimi made me a potter heart and a book.   I am so very BLESSED and THANKFUL!

Accelerated Reader Reward!

On Friday night we headed to the ball field.  It was our first Nashville Sounds Game.   The girls earned tickets because they exceeded their AR goal.   It was a fun family evening.  I am so very proud of the little students we have.  They truly love to learn!  I'm so thankful for their teachers that continue to inspire their little brains!   Here are pictures of the parade before the game!   I think they expected more of a Minonk 4th of July parade....oh well!

Sweet Gift

Ansley brought me a flower with a hand painted pot from school.  I am so glad God chose me to be her mommy!

Mia LOVES Cubby

The girls think Cubby is a baby.  I often find them carrying him around or him snuggled right in.  I am sure glad we have this little guy!

Our Weekend

It has been a rainy weekend.  Yesterday soccer was cancelled for the second weekend in a row, so we tackled chores as a family.  As much as I don't like cleaning, I love that the girls enjoy helping and realize that our house doesn't "clean itself".   

It cleared up enough for S. to mow the lawn.   I love that Mia likes to mow too!  Daddy's little girl.

Party Like a Rock Star

We finished this week with a dance at school to celebrate the end of testing.  The girls loved getting all dressed up and seeing all their friends.  S. and I got a nice dinner out.....LOVE my family!

Wrap it up Wednesday

Today it all caught up with them.  They were a little tired this a.m. from all of the "thinking".  They finished up sharing their knowledge and are glad to be done!  I have two more days of administering,  this is week 2 for me I might "Party Like a Rock Star" when it's over! Hee Hee

Showing What We Know.....TESTING Week

Although State Testing week has always had meaning for me this is the first year both girls are actually taking the test.   It is a very exhausting week of lots of thinking and showing what they have learned this year!   Here they are ready to "Party Like a Rock Star" (Dad's testing advice).  I'm sure glad I balance out the equation there.....
