VBS Classroom

These precious girls were so helpful all week! Thankful for their hearts to serve.

Ansley and Mia completed the bulletin board. I laugh, b/c they have created so many classroom decorations in their little lives! The joys of being a teacher's kid.

What a fantastic week of VBS. Over 2,000 kids attended each day this week. What a JOY to share the good news of Jesus!

We have had an amazing week at VBS. It has been a busy week of fun and not a minute to spare. This evening the girls got to have some down time and enjoyed their bubble machine. We will finish with VBS tomorrow. What a gift it is to attend a church that invests well in the Kingdom of God.

Swim is my favorite activity of the year! The girls love it as much as I do! We have such great friends and it is an amazing team sport where the real competitor is yourself. So this year was a first for us. S. had to miss (travel schedule), so it was the girls and I, Sharpless Strong….setting up, managing the day, and tearing down, not to mention swimming fast and me volunteering for the event. I am so thankful for responsible kids. I am so proud that they both pushed themselves to finish new events, and to accept the challenges in the pool. For me….our league is using a new computer system, so my patience were tried, it was a LOOONNNGGG day! Fairvue Flippers won the event! Until Tuesday at the the pool again…….

I love these little helpers! They have been trained early setting up many classrooms each year for school, so they are experts at ages 8 and 10!

When school was dismissed and I packed up my room. I began working on the decorations for my 4th grade classroom of VBS. The theme is "Submerged, diving deep in God's word". What a blessing it is to teach the Bible School. The room turned out great and I have an amazing team that I teach with. Together we get the opportunity to shine His light!

Life Update….

It always seems like May is the craziest month of the year. All activities are winding up and school is exceptionally busy. It was nice to have a few minutes to catch up on the blog. I always want to remember the blessings of this time of year even thought it is a bit busy. This year is especially busy. We just learned last week that we will be moving back to NWA. It is so tough to leave a place that we love, friends that are so amazing and a life that "seems right". We always pray for God to lead us and for us to be obedient when He does. So, we are trusting that His plans are bigger than ours. It will be a busy summer moving, enrolling in new schools, managing all of the details, etc… It is my desire to walk in faith well. I want to enjoy every step of the process and make memories big and small as we transition. I am certain we will have a plan and it will fall apart. I am praying for God to prepare our hearts for everything that is ahead for our family. I am praying for protection and peace as we say good-bye to this place. In the meantime….summer is here and we plan on relaxing, playing, and loving every second we are given.

This year's swim season started with 66 degree temps and even colder water. That's one way to make them swim fast! We are so looking forward to mornings at the pool and fun memories with our friends! Go Fairvue Flippers!
