Celebrating our Teenager! Mia is 13!!!

What a fun day celebrating our girl.  It is hard to believe how quickly the last 13 years have gone.  Our little baby that completed our family is a teenager.   She was greeted with her favorite coffee drink and then surprised with a gift her sister has been planning fo rmonths.  She got her nails done...favorite nail color yellow, and had Claire over to celebrate her.  We enjoyed a fantasitc steak dinner, and then finished the evening at Topgolf.  We had strawberry cake and ice cream as the day came to an end.   We are so proud of this girl!  She has a heart for others, lights up any room she enters and makes us laugh.  I am most thankful that she loves Jesus and continues to grow her faith.  She is LOVED!!!  I am so thankful that God chose me to be her mom!  This parenting journey is flying by! Happy 13th Birthday to our precious Mia!

Thankful.....

...to know we have a God that is in control.   He reminds me in every sunset to not worry  about the chaos in this life.   His plans are perfect.  My hope is in HIM.

2020-21 FJHS Cheerleader!!!!

Congrats to this girl right here!  I am so proud of her dedication and hard work .  She had tryouts for the upcoming school year on Tuesday.....today she found out she will be cheering for the Timberwolves again next year!!!

Last Day is TODAY!  She was nervous about her test.  Now she gets to practice with an instructor and us.   She has learned so much and is so much more confident behind the wheel.  The early mornings the first 2 weeks of summer are worth it!

Payson and Ansley at their pre-school graduation.  They were sweet friends. Payson broght AP breakfast EVERY day, they loved being together.

Many years later they graduated driving school together!   Lots of changes in those years, we moved to TN, returned and they became teenagers!   I LOVE that we reconnected.

Snuggles

I hope our girls are NEVER too old for this!

ALL the projects!

We have been busy with projects since qarentine.  All the windows are washed, new roof and gutters, front door makeover, flowers planted, deck scrubbed and ready for summer sitting.   We cleaned out things we have been storing and are ready to RELAX.  I am so thankful for our home, but homeownership is lots of work!

My Classroom

I took over the playroom.  I am so thankful for techonology and continued learning!  I CANNOT wait to walk the halls of Tucker again!

Student Send Off

Even though our year didn't end with field day, Kona Ice,  Sr. Walk, Kindergarten graduation, etc....My students finished SO strong.   Most of them showed up EVERY day for their live lesson over the computer.  We learned together, laughed together, and made the most of our classroom community!   I am so thankful for parents that support educaiton.  As we endure some rough times in our country, I am so ENCOURAGED by the next generation!   They should be CELEBRATED!   These little tokens of appreciation went home in thier bags of belongings.  When they returned their Chrome books they got their stuff that was left behind in desks, lockers and cubbies.

Girls Last Day.....Close Enough.

While I am not really sure what the last day of school was for the girls, we have finished the year. I think their official last day was May 26th.  It was a strange ending to the year.  We had to pick up their bagged belongings, yearbooks, and spring pictures in masks, 3 students at a time. We are READY for summer!

The last time the girls will be together until both are in high school.   I am going to miss them being together, but not as much as they will miss eachother!

Mia finished 7th Grade!  She continues to flourish academically and has found a love for cheer.  She has some great friends.  I pray that God continues to use her to shine brightly.

Ansley finished 8th grade!   She had a great year  academically and will enter 9th grade with credits for science and math and a 4.0 GPA.   This girl has created some great memories and has some fantastic friends.  She loved cheering for the Timberwolves and is ready to be Tiger!

I am so thankful for the teachers that truly LOVE this age student.   Our girls were blessed with some of the best this year!

Closing My Classroom

I left school Friday the 13th, ready for the next week.   Lesson plans were prepared, date was on the board, and an anticipation of one week until spring break.   My room stopped on that day. We were given a couple of days, with social distancing requirements in place, to close our classrooms.   It was the strangest day of my teachng career.

While school continued on-line, we were unbelivably suported by our PTO, and the best leadership team. We even had surprises delivered to our homes.   I am SO thankful for my Tucker Family!

This was an amazing surprise.  I am so blessed to work with the BEST teachers in our district.   Their support, trust, and daily encouragement allow me to be the BEST I can be! Thankful and humbled!

That's a wrap!   Praying for a regular school opening in the fall!
