The girls went to a day camp with the Station Camp High School dance team and then got to perform at the varsity basketball game on Tuesday night!  What a fun time.  Now they both want to join dance……We need one more day in the week!

Winter Dance 2013

The 2nd -5th Graders at Jack Anderson had a dance on Friday night.   Ansley had so much fun hanging with her friends and hitting the dance floor! I was happy to chaperone the event, and loved seeing all of my students out of the classroom.  Thankful for a great school.

Christmas Cards….

Nothing like getting in the Christmas spirit!  The girls LOVED their new job of stuffing and licking envelopes!  I LOVED their help!  Your Christmas card is almost ready to be mailed!

Snow Day 3013

I'm loving our day at home with NO plans but to play and enjoy our time!  Girls are loving dress up time and no agenda too!

So last week Northwest Arkansas got 7-10 inches of snow.  Now, being just far enough south that is enough snow to shut everything down.  So I am not going to lie, I was a little jealous of all of the Facebook pictures of kids bundled and playing in the white powdery stuff.   However, because of cold temperatures they are still in a mess of snow and haven't been to school since last Thursday, which means they are cutting into their summer break….I am no longer jealous.   Today we are home from school because of snow….don't laugh all of you from Illinois and NWA.   I think it was worse before the sun came out!  I slept in…so I missed the prime photo opportunity.   I'll take a day off from work to catch up at home anytime!  We here in middle TN, get 13 built in snow days, so this doesn't shorten my summer break……Let it Snow!

Grandpa and Kim send Ornaments Too!

This morning the girls opened their box from Grandpa and Kim.   They always get an ornament each year to hang on their tree!   There is always something fun and a treat from the candy store….this year didn't disappoint!   The craft project is a "magic" tree.  It will grow leave over the next 24 hours and then they get to decorate it with glitter, garland and a star!  What a fun project! Stay tuned to upcoming pictures as it progresses! 

Baking Day!

I love the Christmas traditions that we have every year.   It always sneaks up on us, but somehow we always get it done!   The girls and I spend Sunday afternoon decorating our Christmas cookies and Gingerbread houses!   I think they ate more candy than they put on the houses, but that is part of the fun!  Scott would occasionally walk through the kitchen and frost a cookie and proceed to eat it!   I think he enjoys this day too!

Ornaments from Nanny

The girls were so excited to get  a box from Nanny.  They opened their  ornaments and promptly hung them on their tree!  We love this tradition every year!   They have a memory bank full of special ornaments each year.   They will also have a full tree when they have their first homes!
Thanks Nanny, we love you!
