Blessed

| Today was a day filled with blessings. As parents, we desire for our children to love God with all of their hearts. We were thrilled when in April 2014, on a Wednesday evening, Mia asked Jesus in her heart. Then after VBS this summer, Ansley asked Jesus in her heart. They both attended the new christians class and continue to learn and grow in the love of our Savior. Today was the day they got to profess their faith in front of our church. We are filled with love for the life God continues to show us on earth. What a blessing knowing this is not our home, but we will spend eternity with our Heavenly Father. I'm not sure there is a more secure feeling as a parent. |

We even got to have breakfast with Santa this morning before they left! What a fun weekend! Thanks for making the trip and the memories!

| It was so much fun having Grandpa and Kim visit and get to do some special Christmas stuff with us. They watched the JAE 2nd and 3rd graders perform their music concert. |

| While Ansley was a a friend's sleepover Mia found a treasure at Kroger. Who knew a balloon could quickly become a friend! It is so much fun to watch her "baby" her new pet….Rudy! Such JOY! |

| The Jesse Advent Tree is quickly becoming a favorite in our house. We love reading the Bible verse and talking about how God's purpose is in everything. It's also fun to hang the ornament on the tree! |

Christmas Traditions

| Christmas "Christy" Crimson is back from the North Pole! The girls were thrilled to find him after school and he even brought a movie! W-O-W….Let the Christmas magic appear! |

| Jesse Advent Tree This year we are starting a new tradition. We are going through the Bible leading up to Jesus' birth. So for the next 25 days we will read a story from the Bible and hang an ornament on the tree that represents that story. Today was Gen.1:1 "God created heaven and Earth." The ornament was a globe. We are looking forward to continuing this each year. What a great way to celebrate all that God has promised. |

| These come out every Christmas season. Aunt 9 and Uncle Matt sent these to the girls when they were babies. They always love eating from them! |

| Aunt Lydia sends the girls a Chocolate advent calendar each year! This is a favorite. They love counting down until Christmas. As I have reflected on our family traditions this year, we have many. I love sharing the Joy of the Season, and pray that our girls are filled with the fun and magic, but also their hearts are always grounded in Jesus' birth. So the above traditions are part of what we do and here is a list of others: Christmas trees in each of their rooms. Nanny, Grandpa and Kim all give ornaments each year to hang on their trees. The girls LOVE going through each one and talking about their memories. Christmas Eve Service at Church Opening one present Christmas Eve (usually p.j.'s and and ornament from us) Driving around looking at Christmas lights Jesus' Birthday party (cake and ice cream) on Christmas Eve Baking Day Cookie decorating Reindeer Food Hot Chocolate and Candy Canes out of the Santa Cups from Grammy and PawPaw Visit Santa Fill Shoe Boxes for Operation Christmas Child |
