Thanksgiving 2015

We have so much to be thankful for!  This year Nanny joined us for Thanksgiving.  We loved having her here for almost an entire week.  She got to have lunch with the girls, help prepare our feast, and just get to love on us!  We are so thankful for our time together!

HHI

A few weeks ago we escaped with the Corya kids and their mom to Hilton Head for the weekend!  Such a great time!

Character Award

Mrs. Freebern and Mia

Scott and I got a phone call inviting us to an assembly to honor Mia.  She was chosen by her teachers (3rd grade) to be recognized for her outstanding character.  She stands out among all of her peers in putting others before herself, begin a good friend, never giving up, and standing up for what is right.  This girl has a very special gift of JOY…but to know that others recognize it is quite an honor!  We are so thankful to be her parents and to get to be part of her very special life!  We can't wait to see what God has planned for her!

Special Friends

Grace and Ansley

I had the privilege of attending a 10 week Bible study with Ansley about mothers and daughters and what God says bout our relationship.  What knowledge was poured into us about respecting each other and continuing a Godly relationship that honors Him.   I loved getting to know Ansley's heart and exactly where she is right now in her life.  I am so excited about the years ahead for her and the plans that He has for her.  What a gift to dig into the Bible together and grow closer.  She is a gift from heaven!

Not yet 10…..

Sometimes it's awesome being the little sister.  Mia got to get her ears pierced on Ansley's birthday too!  What a great memory they shared!  As you can tell there were lots of nerves present before the big event!  I am happy to report everyone survived and now are asking for earrings for Christmas!

Mia is the WINNER!

The girls' cross country coach, Coach Wietecha, is an amazing coach.  He runs professionally and is sponsored by Newton shoes.  He got a donation and had a drawing and Mia was a winner!  She was certain she was faster because of her shoes! :-)

Mia at the finish!  What a season of endurance and drive this girl has had!  Not only did she improve her time, but developed a love of running and dug deep to meet goals!  So proud!
So proud of this girl!  She cried at the beginning of the season because she hated running. Not only did she finish loving the sport but improved her time by over a minute!  She persevered when she felt like giving up.   I love that they are coached to figure out what they are made of when it isn't easy!  Love this girl!
